Although this is a snippet of an entire conversation, as a bilingual individual, I love the message that I found in it! Learning a new language goes beyond mere reading, speaking, and writing—it involves immersing oneself in the culture. A growing language like American English is complex!....not that others aren't.Unfortunately, I've witnessed instances where people belittle those whose second or third language is English. It's dehumanizing, especially when the critic often only speaks English, and not well!So, here's my takeaway: Let's be patient and empathetic with language learners. Sometimes, we need to get creative, practice patience, and listen attentively.
